    Departure from the main hotels in San José accompanied by a bilingual naturalist guide.

  • 6:30 AM

    Continue through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is covered by the beauty and lushness of its trees, beautiful waterfalls can be seen from the road.

  • 7:30 AM

    A delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast is offered with fresh fruits, coffee, juice, eggs and the popular “Gallo Pinto”.

  • 8:00 AM

    The trip continues in the middle of banana plantations, the guide will explain the process of growth and export of the fruit.

  • 10:00 AM

    Boarding at chosen dock where you begin to enjoy the boat trip.

    Begin the tour of the Caribbean canals that are located within the famous Tortuguero National Park. The park's forest and its freshwater canals are home to many mammals such as: sloths, monkeys, manatees and others. There are also abundant birds such as toucans, jacanas, aninghas and other animals such as crocodiles, river turtles and countless colorful butterflies, including the beautiful blue morpho butterfly. The boat trip offers the opportunity to see many of these animals up close.
    Upon arrival at the town, a walk through the town of Tortuguero is offered, explaining the history and customs of the inhabitants while they will have the opportunity to observe this privileged beach in the Caribbean Sea; favorite destination of the Hawksbill, Green and Leatherback turtles to spawn!!

    Time to enjoy a typical buffet-style lunch that is sure to please the most demanding of appetites.

  • 1:30 PM

    After lunch, walk to the Tortuguero hill, have the opportunity to observe the canals from above, enjoy a spectacular landscape (it is essential to be in good condition since you must go up/down many stairs).

  • 3:30 PM

    On the way back by boat/bus to San José, a stop is made on the way (Guápiles) to use bathrooms or buy something to eat or drink.

  • 6:30 PM

    Arrival to San Jose.
